This child can sure be a pill sometimes. He has some serious attitude.  The last shot is totally worth all the fuss of the first bazillion photos.  That is a true HAPPY smile and I love it!

Hope you all had a great week.  The holiday kinda threw me for a loop.  I have a TON to catch up on if I want to go camping with my family next week.  My time management department is seriously slacking.  Now it is back to work for me!

Simple Things Sunday {he loves music}

Ryker tracked down his old music player the other day.  I think it has a total of 6 songs on it.  His favorites are Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and Owl City's "Fireflies".

I have totally spotted him singing out loud to the music and dancing around.  He is really shy about it so he waits until he thinks no one is watching and then he really cuts loose =)  I'm not talking a little jig either... this kid full on moves to the music!  He might have a future in backup dancing.  Maybe we will see him on stage with his favorite gal Lady Gaga one day.  

Yesterday I got the camcorder out and tried to crawl on the floor and sneak up behind the couch to catch him in his groove.  He saw me though.  He instantly stopped and screamed ha ha ha.  I will get it recorded one day so we can look back and giggle at how cute he was.

Before I forget I feel like I HAVE to document what my little man says.  This boy cracks me up on a daily basis... I can't wait to hear what come out of West's mouth when he gets older.

Yesterday we were outside playing and Ryker caught a grasshopper.  He had it in a jar for a bit and then he was letting it crawl around in his hands.  Eventually, Ryker lifted his hand up and the smart bug saw his escape and got the heck outta there.  It was gone, even I couldn't catch it again.

Poor Ryker was sobbing.  About 5 minutes later he looked at me and said "Maybe when we go to Disneyland I can ask for my grasshopper to come back to me because that is were all your dreams come true."

Awwwww {heart melting}.  Hmm we have no plans to go to Disney anytime soon, I have no clue where he got that idea!?!  One day hopefully... stinkin TV.  Anyways, there is a dose of cuteness for your Tuesday =)

Today is my  kiddos's birthday! 

We stopped off the side of a road yesterday and got some cute pictures in honor of him turning the big #5.  Sorry if I bore you to death with them... just a mama gushing over her sons weird little smiles :)

I am so glad I got a quick photo shoot in this year.  My goal is to do this for each of my kids on their birthdays. It only took 5 minutes out of our day, I can handle that. 

Today he woke up to streamers and balloons covering his room.  Then he got to eat a big stack of pancakes with candles.....

  Tomorrow the celebration continues with his martian/alien/out of this world party.  I can't wait to share all that goodness with you as well :)

Ryker's Pirate Party

It’s hard for me to believe that this…

has turned into this…

in a mattter 4 years!

To celebrate his big day we had a pirate party and invite all his little cousins.

The whole pirate theme was perfect! We tattooed all the kids, played pin the patch on the pirate (hilarious with them all being 4 and younger), and had a treasure hunt.

Here are some of the details you might get an idea or two from…

I decorated all of our shirts. Ryker’s was all fabric appliqués pieced together and ironed down. West’s shirt was made from a cue shirt I found at a thrift store. The size was too big and the color was wrong so I cut the pirate out and sewed it onto the blue shirt!

For the treasure hunt I bought a wood box for JoAnn craft store and paited it with brown acrylic paint. I drew and colored ten different “clues” for the little kids to find around the house. They LOVED it, some cried when they didn’t get a turn to open the clue but they still had a lot of fun with it I think!

Inside the box I had jewelry, toys, candy and pirate things. I made all the girls these cute bracelets using THIS tutorial for the band and iron on skulls from Wal-Mart.

So cute!!

The cake... I can't even eat it I am so sick of looking at it!

Boo To You SNOW

Spring where are you!!?? Why is there snow on the ground right now? SO irritated!! Me and my little man want to go outside and play!

The other week when the weather was decent Ryker suggested we go ride a bike or roller-skate. Well, he choose to go roller skating then got a little upset because his skates were “Too fast and SLIPPERY”. Ha, roller-skates are pretty “slippery” :)

Well at least the sun is out right now... MELT SNOW!!!

Stop by again… I feel like I am getting better at this blog thing :) I have some cute ideas to share soon, things you can make too! Lots in the works as usual but somehow 8 am turns into 8 pm and there is not much to show for it but a room scattered with toys from my boys. Speaking of boys I have one under my desk pulling at the mouse cord.

Rambling before bed....

Oh my gosh how is it already almost 10:00!! I had so many plans for tonight. Ugh, I hate that. Time goes by way too fast. I started getting up early to get more done before the boys wake up and I still am up late! I *heart* my alone time so much! But yeah, I need to get to bed... plus West is going to be up in like 4 hours because he doesn't believe in sleeping through the night without snacking :)

Quicky :)

Just thought I would post some baby deliciousness real quick… Ryker is gonna wake up from his nap any time now and I promised that he could play on pbskids.org when he woke up :) He is actually really good at the computer, I think it’s cute.
We are all doing perfect. West is getting huge already! He is no longer a newborn; I think he just wants to grow up already. This kiddo is strong. He hasn’t needed support holding up his head for a while now and he loves to stand! I feel so bad because he looks so bored. I think he might be starting to smile for real but I still can’t tell for certain.

I better get somethings done around here! Have a good night :)

During his prayers- "Thank you for my family. Thank you for Jesus. Thank you for Spider-Man.

When it rained the other day- I'm gonna take my Transformers Cinderella (umbrella).

While I was nursing West- Baby West gonna eat your booby?!

A while ago he threw a blanket over his head and said "Look Mom, I'm Jesus!"
