A little baby love

I have been receiving the sweetest images of my hats lately.  Beautiful babies make me sooo happy!
Doesn't "Bliss" look so sweet on this baby!?  So cute, wish I had more supplies for that hat.  Photo by Itty Bitty Portraits

I love how the blanket matches the bow hat in this picture. Photo by Grace Photography and she is on  Facebook too.

Jaime at Sweet Serendipity Photography sent me this image.  So sweet.

These hats are all *NEW* and will be in my shop soon!!
This funky hat can be made with two other color combos as well.

Finally, a boy hat.  This cotton hat will be like the bow hat, LOTS of colors to choose from.  Photo byMelissa Tsao

New headband in my favorite color, seafoam green.  Photo by Lisa.
I have a few more I can't wait to share too.  I have been working on boy hats for once and  they are so perfect!! I feel a giveaway coming on!

Braided

I'm not too adventurous when it comes to hair.  I tried out a bit of braiding the other day.  It wasn't very fancy but I really like it!  It was super fast to do too which is always a plus.
I watched a tutorial  and attempted to follow it.  I only used two strands of hair verses three so it isn't exactly like the video.  I pretty much dumbed it down a bit to my level ha ha.  Still, it turned out simple and cute!

Go Fly A Kite

Don't be fooled by the title.  I am not telling anyone off... I don't think I would have the guts anyway.
Just wanted to say you should fly a kite.  Our $1 kite was the highlight of the day.  The weather was perfect for kite flyin'.
I can't remember the last time I held a kite.  It was fun and my boys were fascinated.
Ryker made me smile when he said "Hey Mom, the kite can go high up to Jesus!" Awe.
West was happy watching and pointing.  This boy loves anything and everything outside :)
Hope you enjoyed my cell phone photos... not bad right!!?

Too Cute Turtles

I've been pretty laid back lately.
No to-do lists, no rushing, no schedules, no staying up late or waking up early, no deadlines... just kind of whatever, whenever attitude.  With all this time on my hands I've been making a few things for me for once.
This was one of those projects you start not realizing how much work is ahead.  You make it about half way through and decide maybe it is too much work and you might quit.  Then you think about it and figure you have already invested so much time and effort into it that you might as well finish.
I finished.
Meet Mama Mia...

She lays eggs....

...and has has two incredibly cute babies named "Walnut" and "Almond"...

A lot of work for me but too cute!
I got the pattern from this book.
My boys have fun shoving everything inside the mama then pulling it all out.  It entertains them for a little bit.  But, they are boys, they get bored then move onto destroying the house.

I choose to smile :)

I was thinking about naming this post "Life and Lemons" and then I thought, who the heck would want to read about crappy lemons.  Everyone knows the life/lemons saying... everyone gets it.  I will spare you my lemons and share with you my poor sister's instead. YAY for you!
A week or so ago my sis had jaw surgery.  It was a pretty nasty ordeal and I feel so bad for her.
My sister normal....
FYI this is my family... awe.

And this is my sis now. Prepare yourself...

I crack up every time I see her... horrible, I know, but it actually makes her laugh too.  It is crazy to see her look NOTHING like herself.  She is having some lemons for sure. She can't chew anything.  I have seen her eat broth, pudding, smoothies and that is about it.  She is in a lot of pain and also has 3 girls under the age of 6 to take care of... YIKES.

I know this post is really random and odd but I just wanted to start blogging again and I didn't know where to start.  I am trying not to be too personal here.  I have a lot of lemons right now but I know that they will pass.  Everything will turn out OK, my sissy's face will heal and life will go on.
I choose to smile in the meantime :)  Well, that and crochet.
Hugs... thank you so much for your support as always!
