Sweet Dreams

Um, need I say anything?
I just received this darling image from Ella Bella Photography this afternoon and I am in love.  I had to share it here.  If it makes me happy to look at, I am sure it will work on your eyes too =)  So, so darling. I am excited to add this to the shop alongside my other versions of the "Dumpling" hat....

Photos c/o Lisa Slate Photography and Jennie Pyfferoen Photography.

Hmm now I feel sleepy.  These darn cute dreaming babies!
I hope you all "sleep like a baby" tonight he he.

It's a hairy business....

Yesterday I cut fur.  A whole lotta fur.

This a job that must be done outside.  Of course I picked an extremely hot and miserable day to do it.  I was sweating, hair bits were clinging to me, flies were living on me and I got my fair share of hair inhaled as well as in the eye.  It was quite the job.  I am happy it is over for now and that I have a good stock pile to use up =)
To me it looks like some furry creature was attacked or died on the lawn after I get done shaking out every single piece.....

If your curious, these furry flap pieces will be used for hats like this and this.  I plan on coming out with a new one this year.  I am thinking a light blue this time around.  Last years "Hunter" hat was so popular I ran out of supplies for it.  I loved that hat...

OH and while I was working, my very own little artist was working on his own masterpiece... in the nude (I assume that helps his creative process).

 Goodnight =)

Sunflower Bonnet

I'm not much of a "green thumb".  In fact a couple years ago I intentionally tried to kill off house plants just so I didn't have to take care of them.  I have changed a bit since then.  Although, I have a LOT of learning to do in this plant business!

This year I actually planted a garden and flowers!  I have flower beds everywhere.  The are a little overwhelming to take care of but I am doing my best.  The lady who lived here before me was obsessed with the whole flower thing I think.  I have even dug up FAKE flowers and leaves she had outside.  Crazy.  I do appreciate a lot of her work.   She left behind a bunch of plants that come back year after year which is really nice.

The area photographed is a small pathway from the driveway to the backyard.  When I first moved in there was a GIANT sunflower growing on the right and a bunch of rose bushes on the left.  This year I planted more sunflowers among other things.  They seem to be easy enough to care for.  I didn't know they were going to be so big though.   I thought the package said 10 inches high but I think that was the flower head measurement.  Whoops!! Guess we will see what happens.  They are still growing tall =)

ANYWAYS... this whole post was suppose to introduce one of my new hats.  Inspired by my own little flower beds

It can be found HERE.  I hope to see it on a sweet little newborn head one of these days.

V-Day Sweets!

 {Luv Bug}

Ahh you can probably see what is happening here.  I had  a lot of time on my hands to blog when I took a little Christmas vacation from the shop.  Now the shop is open again and it is back to hectic, no time too spare, days.  I love it though, it makes me feel good to be crazy busy sometimes.
During the Christmas vacation I was busy working on new designs for Valentines day.  I sometimes look forward to changing seasons solely for the design options!! So much fun to play with holiday ideas. Here are a few I came up with... straight from the heart :)

Eeeeek! Now you all have your dose of newborn sweetness for the day.  Huge THANKS to  Lisa Slate Photography for all the sweet photos.   Isn't she fabulous!
Do I dare tell you there is more new goodies for spring? I have been having WAY too much fun playing with hats the past few weeks.
Hope the year is off to a great start for you as well :)

If I could eat yarn for breakfast.......

If I could eat yarn for breakfast this is what I would be having... YUMMY!
Oh my mint how I LOVE you...

with a side of this... reminds me of neapolitan ice cream.  Mmmm vanilla, strawberry and chocolate.

This one is a little odd ball compared to the rest but I have big plans for it.  It is going to be awesome!

While I am on a food binge why not share a sneak peak.........
Anyone care for a wormy apple??
Eeeeekkkk!!! Huge thank you to Lisa Slate.  She is the light bulb behind this sweetie.  I can't wait to see the hat on one of her models :)

Shake you groove thing... and a $1 giveaway!

I have been on a headband kick the past few nights.  My plan was to design a simple and sweet headband to include with each order from my shop... because everyone loves a little something extra... and I ended up unleashing a creative beast!!
What do you think about these cuties?
I was feeling a bit retro :)  They are all so sweet and dainty, great for a newborns tiny head.
You can find them HERE.

While making them I had a few extra supplies so I decided to do $1 giveaway.
I have a total of 5 to giveaway.  They are all in size 0-3 months and perfect for newborns.  The $1 covers the shipping cost and makes it so I don't have to "pick" a winner.  If you want to snag a headband you will see a Paypal button below each headband to checkout with.  I will ship the bands tomorrow via USPS first class mail. If the Paypal buttons are gone, the bands have been sold.
*Chocolate Chip is SOLD*

*Butterscoth is SOLD*
I will show you the cute gift headbands I came up with later!  I love them too.
Thanks for stopping by!

A little of this, a little of that.

Hi friends! Sorry it feels like I have been a little.. Ok a lot...  MIA the past few weeks.

I am super excited for the weekend!  My littlest guy turns TWO!  We have been planning a "Gone Fishin" party for him.  I told myself not to go all out this year but I couldn't help it.  There is a TON of cute stuff to be shown off soon... can't wait.

I also made a bunch of these little flowers and thought I would share.  I am using them in my packages for a cute little touch.
They are from a pack of pre-punched paper!  All I did was punch them out and glued em together.  They would be cute as a banner or other decoration around the house.  I got them at JoAnn in the scrapbook section.

I am SO excited to share these too!! I love them all so much.  They all remind me of some kind of vintage, whimsical daydream :)
Ahhhh so pretty!
Have a lovely weekend.  I will be back with birthday pictures. YAY!

A "DUH" moment!

I have several headbands like this that I have made for myself.  Usually when I put them on with straight hair they look silly to me.  Well, today I figured out why....
** Make sure you put the band part OVER your ears so that they are pinned down.  Otherwise, you look like you have huge ears poking out!
I LOVE it now and just thought I'd share the tip with you :)
I have some here too!
Have a happy day friends!

Behind the scenes of "Blossom" shoot.

My littlest worker has been at it again.  See his previous employee history HERE.

On this particular day he informed me that my photo shoot for "Blossom" was way off.
He decided to step in and take matters into his own hands.........

He worked quite fast and then admired his work.

Oh my little boy, such a clever helper!
