Simple and Sweet Owl Crochet Pattern

Supplies
-worsted weight yarn, I used cotton
- size G hook
- needle and thread
- small piece of scrap material to match
-  small piece of  yellow felt
- 1/8 " beads for eyes
- stuffing
Body
Form a ring--  You can either do this by chaining two and beginning the first round in the second chain from hook or you can make an adjustable ring.  I love the adjustable ring for little things like this owl :)
Rnd 1-- 5 sc in center of ring
Rnd 2-- 2 sc in each sc around  (10 sc total)
Rnd 3-- (1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) 5 times (15 sc total)
Rnd 4-- 1 sc in each sc around
Rnd 5-- 1 sc in each sc around
Rnd 6-- (1 sc in each of the next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 5 times (20 sc total)
Rnd 7-- 1 sc in each sc around
Rnd 8-- (1 sc in each of the next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 5 times (25 sc total)
Rnd 9-- 1 sc in each sc around
Rnd 10-- 1 sc in each sc around
Rnd 11-- (1 sc in each of the next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 5 times (30 sc total)
Rnd 12-- 1 sc in each sc around
Rnd 13-- 1 sc in each sc around
Rnd 14-- (1 sc in each of the next 4 sc, work decrease in the next 2 sc) 5 times (25 sts total)
Rnd 15-- 1 sc in each st
Rnd 16-- 1 sc in each sc
Fasten off, weave in ends

Bottom
Form ring
Rnd 1-- 6 sc in center of ring
Rnd 2-- (3 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sc) 2 times (10 sc total)
Rnd 3-- (2 sc in next sc, 3 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sc) 2 times (18 sc total)
Rnd 4-- (2 sc in each of the next 5 sc, 1 sc in each of the next 4 sc) 2 times (28 sc total)
Fasten off, weave in ends

Wings
ch 5
sl st in first ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, 4 hdc in last ch.
On opposite side work hdc in next ch, sc in next ch, sl st in next ch.  Sl st to beginning.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
*Attach to sides of body.

Eyes
Form ring
8 sc in center. Fasten off, weave in ends.
*Sew on beads to the center of each eye.

Finishing and Assembly
*For the tassels on the top of the body I took a singe piece of yarn and threaded it around a stitch.  I tied a couple knots to secure it there then trimmed the pieces of yarn.
*For the fabric center, free hand cut your shape to fit the body how you like.  Use your needle and thread to sew it onto the front of the owl's body.
*Attach the bottom piece to the body with your thread and needle.  When you get about 3/4 of the way around stuff your owl and finish sewing.
*Cut a small triangle shape from your yellow felt and hot glue over your fabric at the top of the body.
*Hot glue your eyes on just above the beak.
Wooooo HOOOOO you're done!
I hope if you can crochet you like the pattern.  Remember I am no pro and I don't know the exact way to write a pattern.  I hope it all makes sense and there are no errors.
Have a wonderful weekend!
