Bandana Shirt Make n Take

This is the getup my little guy wore for his party. My hubby actually came up with the idea for the chaps! I didn’t do a tutorial for those but it is 2 pieces of felt over old jeans sewn down in several spots to keep them in place. Super cute!

Bandana Shirt Tutorial
I used a onesie for West’s bandana shirt but a t-shirt will work too.

Start by cutting off a corner of your bandana to make a triange.  After I cut my triangle out I hemmed the edges a little because I thought there was too much “plain” red showing and I wanted to see more of the design.

Fold the top edge over (for a lazy fast clean finish) and sew a gathering stitch.

Adjust your gathering stitch to fit across the neck of your shirt and pin down.  Sew it into place. I used a straight stitch but if you need more stretch you can use a zig zag stitch and it will allow for more stretch.

Fast, right!? I hope you liked the tutorial!

West loved the outfit but his favorite was still the natural birthday suit......... :)
Happy Wednesday!

His party was a hit! You are such a beautiful talented woman, mom, and wife. These three men in your life are very lucky! Just saying :-)

Not to mention - if my daughter would keep something on her head, I'd be purchasing a few of your little hats... :)
