My Playdate with Sadie....

I had a blast playing photographer with this baby!  She had me sweating for a bit but I am pleased with the results.  It was hard to narrow these down so I wasn't overloading you with photos but here are some of my favorites....

So much fun :) I love babies.

Martian Party PART TWO

I saved the cake for part two... everybody loves a cute cake right?!

The cake was super easy to make using a circle pan and a glass bowl.  I covered it with marshmallow fondant... love that stuff..  and added lots of candy.  We had colorful play dough ice cream with it too!

I made this for the kids because I love a good ole' pin the whatever on the whatever game.

After Ryker finished opening his presents I had a surprise waiting for him in the backyard.  It was a new bike and a bit more...

Little did the kids know that there was a MARTIAN (my brother) hiding in the play house.

I handed out cans of silly string to all the kids so they could attack him but the whole idea kinda backfired.  I failed to open the cans before hand and they were a PAIN to open in a hurry.  It took forever and some of the little ones were freaking out.  He had a pretty scary mask on...

Ha, I guess you could say it was a little mean to pull that on the babies.  The older ones liked it and had a blast spraying the martian.  I still think it was a fun family event :)

One party, down one to go in July.  We are thinking about doing a "Circus" theme.

My Kiddos Martian Party.. PART ONE

This year for Ryker's 5th birthday we had an "Out Of This World Martian Party".   I was very inspired by an article featured in Parents Magazine and went with it. 

Kinda crazy a year has passed since his pirate party... seems like I just blogged about it!

PART ONE 

This was the invite.

Did you know Walmart has a pretty sweet party selection?  I picked up the cute green boxes and most of the goodies from there.  The front of them had the kids names spelled in martian (backwards). 

I made all the kids Antennae headbands.  They were super fast and cute.  Ryk's tee shirt was $3 from Walmart and I sewed a felt alien face on it for fun.

For the decor I borrowed a bunch of stuffed aliens from my brother.  I also blew up a bunch of green balloons, added some paper eyes and taped them around the house.  A bit of Christmas lighting was a magical little touch too.

SOooo a little while ago I gave my email out to the Coach Factory.  This morning I got a email about their online sale.

I'm weak, very, very weak.

These pretty purses can be really pricey but if you get them at an outlet store you can get a steal of a deal!  I am pretty thrifty too so believe me.  I don't know what it is about these bags and their dang little C's everywhere but I'm hooked.

I think I should unsubscribe to the mailing list so I quit impulse buying!

{Prettiness}

Prettiness is these two awesome suitcases I picked up for $1.50 each, a new mustard dress and lace hankies!

Kind of odd thinks to be excited about.... I have plans :) One day, I hope to use the suitcases in a booth at a craft fair to hold my goods.  

Also, a friend asked me to take some newborn pictures for her and I love the "baby on/in suitcase" photos.  I'm nothing close to a pro but I love, love, love newborns and can't wait to play. Yay, so excited!

Today is my  kiddos's birthday! 

We stopped off the side of a road yesterday and got some cute pictures in honor of him turning the big #5.  Sorry if I bore you to death with them... just a mama gushing over her sons weird little smiles :)

I am so glad I got a quick photo shoot in this year.  My goal is to do this for each of my kids on their birthdays. It only took 5 minutes out of our day, I can handle that. 

Today he woke up to streamers and balloons covering his room.  Then he got to eat a big stack of pancakes with candles.....

  Tomorrow the celebration continues with his martian/alien/out of this world party.  I can't wait to share all that goodness with you as well :)

Mama's Day!

I became a mama for the first time just a day shy of Mothers Day.

I had another photo in mind for this post but I couldn't find it so you get this...

I guess that is the best present a mom could ask for.

Being mama is HARD at times.  Lately, I find myself overwhelmed by my two little guys.  Someone always seems to be screaming and I have been trying with all my might to not yell back.  Even with all the craziness, I  still feel incredibly blessed by my two little angels... who at time prove to come close to the complete opposite! 

I am also thankful for my own mama.  She is the best and I have learned so much from her.

Our Easter Attire

Very, very late I know but, I had to share.  Like I have said before-- I love any occasion that you get to dress up for.

I wore a yellow dress borrowed from my bestie. 

My boys wore matching yellow pin stripe bow ties.

I picked their outfits up from Gymboree.  I had to have the overalls for West, they reminded me of something my little brother wore 20 years ago... I think my mother put tights on under his HA!  I LOVE them and they were worth every penny. 

 I am adding a few more OOAK hats to the shop too.  Check them out :)
